French adaptation by Pierre de Latil of a Soviet near-future science fiction anthology (original Polyot na Lunu, Trudrezervizdat, Moscow 1955), featuring texts by K. Guilzine, G. Gurevich, and some ten Soviet authors. The book imagines a first Soviet lunar voyage for 1974, presented as articles, reports, and telegrams from fictional crew members (navigator, biologist, geographer). Translated by Paul Kolodkine and supplemented by a nineteen-note postface by Pierre de Latil contextualizing the work within the astronautics landscape of 1959. Art direction by Jacques Ostier, Collection Grand Pavois.
