Paul Kolodkine was a Russian-to-French translator active in the 1950s and 1960s for publishers close to the French Communist Party, notably Les Éditeurs Français Réunis and Calmann-Lévy. He produced several translations of Soviet works of popular science and technology, including Ary Sternfeld's Le vol dans l'espace cosmique (1954), which helped introduce Soviet astronautical thinking to a French readership on the eve of the Space Age. Public biographical information about him remains fragmentary.
