Wim Gabriel Dannau (born October 20, 1937 in Hal, died August 30, 1992 in Nice) was a Belgian journalist and writer specializing in aeronautics and astronautics. He wrote his first book, Demain... l'espace, in his early twenties in 1958. A contributor to the weekly magazines Spirou and Tintin, he produced numerous short features on space and aeronautical developments. Through Marabout he published some twenty popular-science books on aviation history: fighters, bombers, Russian aircraft, aircraft of the world. In the early 1960s he was one of Belgium's foremost popular writers on astronautics.
