Published in 1958 in the Marabout Junior collection (J.125), Demain... l'espace is a popular-science book for young readers illustrated by Dino Attanasio. The first section, "Sans bluff," traces the history of the V-2 rocket and Peenemünde through the first Sputnik and Explorer satellites. The second, "Le futur commence ici," describes projects underway (the X-7 hypersonic aircraft, Dyna-Soar, orbital stations, lunar bases) drawing on the work of von Braun and American engineers. Wim Dannau, then in his early twenties, wrote his first book on a space programme in full ferment.
