Guy Jalabert (born 1936) is a French geographer specialising in industrial and urban geography. A professor at the University of Toulouse-Le Mirail (Toulouse II), he directed the Centre interdisciplinaire d'études urbaines (CIEU, CNRS) and devoted much of his work to the Toulouse conurbation and its transformations. His Doctorat d'État dissertation, Les industries aéronautiques et spatiales en France (1974), stands as a pioneering study of the geography of that branch and of the territorial roots of the south-western aerospace cluster. He went on to explore these themes in numerous books and edited volumes, notably Toulouse, métropole incomplète (1995) and Toulouse, l'avion et la ville. His research weaves together industry, the city and regional planning.
