A large-format photography book published in 1984, Aller-retour pour l'espace gathers more than two hundred NASA colour photographs, from Project Mercury to the Space Shuttle, alongside a text by astronaut Joseph P. Allen, a veteran of the STS-5 (1982) and STS-51A (1984) missions. Across seven thematic chapters, Allen reflects on reaching orbit, life and work aboard, the contemplation of Earth and the exploration of the solar system. The book is Jacques Guiod's French translation of Entering Space: An Astronaut's Odyssey, with an introduction by Albert Ducrocq.
