A French translation of Patrick Moore's Moon Flight Atlas, this large-format album published in 1969 surveys the Moon and its conquest on the eve of the first landings. It sets out the astronomical context (the universe, the solar system, the Moon's nature and phases), a relief cartographic atlas of the near and far sides produced by Hallwag with crater indexes, and the history of crewed spaceflight up to Apollo 11. The Apollo missions, vehicles, spacesuits and prospective landing sites are illustrated, the book closing on the prospect of a future exploration of Mars.
