Henri Thilliez

FR

Henri Thilliez was a French popular science writer active in the 1960s. He published La grande aventure des fusées (The Great Rocket Adventure) in 1963 with VOICI Club, an accessible overview of the history of rockets and the stakes of the space conquest. Likely a journalist or contributor to the popular press, he belonged to the wave of French science communicators who guided general readers through the space race between the United States and the Soviet Union. His work, structured in three progressive sections (cosmology, history of rocketry, and the 1963 state of the art), is representative of the popular space literature of the period. His birth and death dates are currently unknown.
