Michel Rouzé, the pen name of Michel Kokoczynski (1910-2004), was a French science journalist and writer, born in Paris to Polish immigrant parents. Editor-in-chief of the daily Oran républicain in the late 1930s, he devoted himself after the war to scientific popularisation and criticism. In 1968 he founded the French Association for Scientific Information (AFIS), which he chaired until 2003, and launched the journals Diagrammes and then Science et pseudo-sciences. A translator from Russian, he revised, with Thomas de Galiana, the French adaptation of this encyclopedia.
