Alex Roudène is the pen name of French author André Leroux. An essayist and journalist, he addresses the political, financial, and human dangers of the space race in Contre la conquête de l'espace (1967), written at the very moment the United States and the USSR were competing at enormous cost. His output subsequently shifted toward parasciences and esotericism: he co-authored some twenty works on the paranormal, spiritualism, and occultism with Danielle Hemmert (L'univers des fantômes, Envoûtement et exorcisme, Métempsycose, réincarnation et survie).
