Soviet engineer and science writer specializing in aeronautics and astronautics, Viktor Pavlovich Kaznevsky (dates unconfirmed) worked under the supervision of Professor Dobronravov, a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences and one of the Soviet Union's foremost specialists in cosmic flight. He wrote Interplanetary Rockets in 1957 for a general audience; the work was translated into French the following year by Nina Lapina and published by La Farandole. He also wrote Aerodynamics in Nature and Technology (1985), a popular-science textbook for secondary school students. Biographical information about him remains scarce outside Russian sources.
