Dominique Veillon

Dominique Veillon is a French historian, emeritus research director at the CNRS and long affiliated with the Institut d'histoire du temps présent (IHTP). A doctor of history, she is a recognised specialist of 1940s France: the Resistance, everyday life and material culture under the Occupation, and the press. Her work includes La Mode sous l'Occupation, Vivre et survivre en France, 1939-1947 and Paris allemand, as well as a biography of Jean Moulin. A member of the scientific council of the Fondation de la Résistance, she also co-edited, for La Documentation française, files in the "Les Médias et l'Événement" series devoted to the media treatment of major contemporary events.
