Geneviève Keiffer is a documentalist and senior editor (chef d'études) at La Documentation française, the French government's public information and reference publisher. During the 1980s she devised several files in the "Les Médias et l'Événement" series, which examines major twentieth-century events through their treatment by the press and television, among them the first Moon landing (Apollo 11) and the 6 June 1944 D-Day landings.
