Mitchell Raymond Sharpe (born 1924 in Huntsville, Alabama) is an American aerospace engineer and historian. A technical writer and documentation supervisor at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center through the 1960s and 1970s, he also served as a consultant and historian for the National Air and Space Museum and the Alabama Space and Rocket Center. He devoted several popular-science books to the biology and medicine of human spaceflight, including Living in Space (1969). He is best known for The Rocket Team (1979), the standard history of Wernher von Braun's group from Peenemünde to Huntsville, co-written with Frederick I. Ordway III.
